OILS & COLD WAX
I have always used oils with my encaustic painting, but lately, I have been experimenting with oils & cold wax on their own, or as the final layers on an encaustic painting. I’m surprised at how pleasing I find the matte finish over the luminous encaustic, and have already thought up so many ways to play with this contrast. Look forward to sharing my favorite pieces here as my cold wax exploration evolves…
